Polish tourists can't return from Egypt. "We are afraid of what will happen next"

As described by the entire station, Gazeta Wrocławska, readers contacted the editorial office on Friday afternoon. "Please help! There are a lot of children here, some under a year old, elderly people and people suffering from diabetes. We simply want to go home..." — write in a message the vacationers who cannot return to the country.

Problems from the start. First flight delayed 12 hours

The Poles flew to Egypt for their dream vacation a week ago, on June 12. “Our flight was already delayed by almost 12 hours,” they write. Although the vacationers arrived at the airport at 1 a.m., they did not leave until after 3 p.m. “Now the situation is repeating itself, and even worse,” they warn.

Their return flight from Hurghada to Wrocław was scheduled for 11 p.m. on Thursday. When they arrived at the airport, they were told the flight had been rescheduled for 1 a.m. But they didn't fly at that time either. "After midnight, we were picked up from the airport and taken to different hotels," Gazeta Wrocławska quotes the report.

Poles cannot return to the country. They are afraid

First, the holidaymakers were told to return to the airport at 8 a.m. Then, that their flight would be after 9 p.m. "Then another text message came - that we were not supposed to meet until 8:30 p.m. Now, silence again," they write.

"We are afraid of what will happen if the stay is extended and someone gets sick. We don't even have contact with the resident anymore. And there is no war," vacationers stress.

Although “Gazeta Wrocławska” tried to contact Join UP!, the company responsible for organizing the trip, on behalf of its readers, the company did not respond.

The latest update is that the flight is scheduled to depart at midnight. "Attention! Flight time U58558 20.06 has been changed from 23:00 19.06 to 00:00 21.06. Check-in will begin at 22:00 and end at 23:15," vacationers learned in an SMS message.
